January Meeting Postponed
January 15, 2009 in Monthly Meetups by Chris Harrison
The RefreshAugusta meeting scheduled for this month – January 20 – will have to be postponed until next month. Nik Wilets, who was scheduled to talk about Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2, has to go out of town next week due to work-related items. And I underestimated just how busy I’d be at the start of the year. At this point, rescheduling seems to be the best thing to do.
Our next meeting will be held February 17. I’ll send an email about everything tomorrow. I think we may try to move the meeting a tad later (7pm). I know this might not work for everyone. I’d like to get your feedback on whether this will work for you. Feel free to email me at chris@cdharrison.com or call me – (706) 495-8431.
Also, we’ll have our third Lunch Meetup on February 3rd at 11:30am at Somewhere in Augusta. We’ve had some great discussions at the last two. (Somewhere in Augusta has free-wifi, great chicken wings and more, and ample room for larger groups.) I really hope you can make it.
Nik wanted me to mention that SoCon is coming up in early February. “SoCon09 is built on the premise that collectively we know more than we do individually. In the first two years, we introduced social media, user-generated content, blogs, podcasts, video logs, social networking, wikis… but nothing stands still.” Registration is only $89 for the full 1.5 days, including a Big Eating, Big Thinking Networking Dinner on Friday night. Or $39 just for Saturday, including a continental breakfast and networking lunch.
See you next month!
